Future Trials and Events

We offer a variety of social events for our members such as hosting a Holiday party and Summer Picnic with Doggie Games; participating in community activities such as the Aptos Fourth of July Parade, Santa Cruz County Fair and Morris Animal Walk Fund Raiser; events to support our annual scholarship to a deserving UC Davis veterninary student and an Emergency Medical fund for dog owners unable to pay for veterinary care.

As an AKC dog obedience club in the Monterey Bay area, we hold our events in Santa Cruz County with the exception of our VST which is offered in Seaside. In Dec. is our Winter Workshop at the fairgrounds in Watsonville. Our Variable Surface Tracking Test in March is on the campus of CSUMB. Our 2-day Agility trials are held in June at the usual location, SkyPark in Scotts Valley. Our new, double Obedience/Rally Trials (AM & PM) is at our new location on the grounds of St Francis HS (Watsonville) on our new Saturday date in July. You're invited to join us as exhibitor or spectator. We're a short drive away

Fund Raising Event
MAY 22, 2021

Morris Animal Foundation is a global leader in supporting scientific research that advances veterinary medicine. Since their founding in 1948, they’ve invested more than $126 million toward more than 2,670 studies that have improved the health and quality of life for dogs, cats, horses, and wildlife around the world. On May 22, 2021, MBDTC invites dogs and their owners to join the club for a fun walk on the sidewalks around the Capitola Mall. The walk starts at 10 AM in the covered parking garage, behind Target.

Community Involvement

One of our annual events is to visit Sunshine Villa in Santa Cruz where we demonstrate basic obedience and some agility exercises, concluding with the residents visiting with our dogs.
